Music Video

In order to complete this task, it is necessary for me to construct a music video targeting one specific genre, using the codes and conventions of music videos to my advantage. Although, to gain an insight to these codes and conventions i will need to look at music videos of different genres and how they manage to target different social tribes. With this task, i know i will face the challenge of time keeping as there is so much to do in such little time, including filming itself as well as the editing process. Hopefully, by looking at past attempts, i can understand a range of helpful techniques as well as finding inspiration from real music videos to adapt my own thoughts and ideas. After completing this work, i will need to promote the music video through a promotional poster advertising the CD cover of the music video. I will also need to research present posters and CD covers to gain an insight to how the house style of the music video is carried throughout.
